Girls Weekend '09

Every year my aunt, cousin, mom and I go to a lake house in Maine for a long weekend and vedge, eat, laugh, and play games. This year we ended up going to my house where I grew up. We had a blast as always and we each gained about ten lbs each. Here are a few pictures of the ladies.

I have always thought of my little cousin Michaela as such a shy, innocent, sweet little kid. As we all know time Flies by and the little cousins aren't so little anymore. Michaela (or as I like to call her Mac) is a Senior in high school, driving, and applying to colleges. Its so weird to me how fast people grow up. When my aunt Mary asked if I would take Michaela's senior pictures I was so excited. We had it planned for last month and on the day of the shoot I thought we were getting a hurricane. We pushed it back to this past Sunday, which ended out being perfect. It was "girls weekend" on my moms side of the family so we made the photo shoot into a field trip. Here are a few of Michaela's pictures. Because this is her senior pictures, she can only pick one. So if you would, would you leave a comment voting which you think she should pick? This might help her narrow down her decisions!!

Kimberly, Thomas, Kaylin, and Duncan

I met with this adorable family on Saturday. It was such a cold day and little Kaylin was under the weather. Kimberly told her she didn't have to have her picture taken, but she steeped it up and was able to take some pictures.

I had been talking to Pony back and forth via email for about a month now. It didn't seem as though we were going to be able to connect because of schedule conflicts. One email from Pony made me realize that I had to find room for her. She sent me an email saying "the more that I look at your photos the more I love them". That meant so much to me (yes I saved the email) that I decided I re-arrange my birthday schedule so I could get her family shoot in. AND I AM SO GLAD THAT I DID. I pulled up to their house at 9AM Saturday after a late night out of birthday celebration and was met by the sweetest little girl ever. Reagan opened the door and the first thing she said to me was "happy birthday miss molly". And it was love from that moment on. This family was gorgeous inside and out. They were full of love and joy. I had such a great time with them that I was sad to go. This family brought so much happiness to me. I hope that they enjoyed the session just as much as I did. Most importantly I hope they enjoy the pictures as much as I did.

We went to a park near their house, and Reagan and Shane led the way.

I almost died when they showed me how Shane LOVED to just hang from the pole. He honestly could have stayed there forever.
