27 Dresses

This started out as a shoot that was supposed to be about single girls who have been in numerous amounts of weddings, but are still ring less. I am sure there are many girls who are reading this that can totally understand this frustration. Jill showed up to the shoot with about 7 bridesmaid dresses. No Lie! She has been in tons of weddings and wanted to do something fun with a few of the dresses. Joe, after a few cocktails one night decided that he wanted in on a shoot, so I figured this would be a great shoot to have him join in on. We went up to Lanas hometown, which I love. There are tons of great places to shoot. We had a BLAST. I spent the later part of the afternoon hunched over laughing so hard I could not catch my breath. Thinking of Lana running down a long deserted country road screaming from the dead bugs on her arm still cracks me up. Jill getting her crock stuck in the quick sand screaming for help, and Joe striking a pose no matter where we were even if we weren't shooting. I really hope that you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed taking them. Lana, once again. Jill and Joe, you guys were so fun and amazing! "We didn't come all this way to turn around, we are jumping in the water".

Anyway, here are a bunch. You might want to sit down! It was hard to pick not because of me, but because of Joe and Jill!! You will see what I mean...

E-Session: Kasey & Matt

First off, I want to thank Kasey and Matt so much for trusting me. I had never met either of these two before, but they had seen my work and asked if I would photograph strangers. Of course I do! Over e-mails Kasey kept saying how excited they were and how "they totally trusted whatever I wanted to do". That really meant a ton to me, for strangers to trust me, and my work.
I couldn't believe how lucky we were with the light. I mean it was perfect. The only thing that was not perfect were the mesquites EVERYWHERE. I think we invaded their nest or something because they were swarming us. I'm surprised our friends didn't make it into any of the pictures.
One of these photos will be making it onto their "Save the Dates", and Kasey kept saying how she was not sure how she would pick. So, feel free to comment with your opinion to help her out!
























This was hard for me. Usually I am pretty anal about pictures being really clear, but this lighting was pretty fun!

TTD: Shelby & Yuri

Trash the Dress sessions. These sessions have actually become controversial, and understandably this is NOT for everyone, but overall it is up to the bride. Some people may look at it as distasteful, while others look at it as creative. To each their own, right? I am not saying I agree or disagree with these sessions, but when I got the call from Lana asking if I would go I was pretty excited because it was perfect opportunity for me to get more practice with my new camera. This was so cute. As soon as Lana saw this boat named "EMMA" she freaked. Yuri and Shelby have a daughter named Emma. So obviously we had to take a picture of this
